and the car spinning out of control
into space

is she gone?

take a breath and a look to the one at your side

something fell like a house from the sky

and the traffic is still flying by

of the vehicle stopped behind?

a driver's side exchange revealing the stunned and expressionless vessel at the wheel possessed by nothing but the former contents of orange vials scattered amongst the cloth and plastic limbs of children's dolls piled in the back seat whimpering a single repeating syllable as if suspended in time - it is at this moment you realize that a glint of light skipping off the windshield dances into your eye as though from some unfamiliar sun - a peculiar taste to the air sends the early nerves of a creeping panic, a moment's scare as you glance once again at the guest in this wreck and she's there, having taken the rough journey to the shoulder with you - but is it the same you saved from in a spin-out drift as if lifted from the world and projected through a rift?

this is new... this is some place that you haven't been
from the din, strikes a voice
one that you've never heard in your life
it's your own
different tone
spilling words that you shouldn't hear
here and now
tell me, how did she smash it apart anyway?
